Samaritan Shield Co. has initiated the national commercial rollout of Samaritan Shield, a surface protectorant offering up to 21 days of active protection from a single application. This launch enters a U.S. surface disinfectant market valued at $4.6 billion, which is increasingly seeking long-lasting and sustainable solutions beyond immediate sanitization.

The product features the company's patented NOVEX-AMG® Organometallic Zinc technology. Unlike traditional disinfectants that cease working once dry, this technology creates a residual barrier designed to continuously reduce pathogen load between cleaning cycles. This addresses concerns highlighted by the CDC regarding healthcare-associated infections.

Samaritan Shield claims over 99.99% effectiveness against pathogens such as MRSA, C. difficile, and SARS-CoV-2. The formulation is NSF Registered and Green Clean Institute Certified, indicating it is non-toxic and safe for use on food-adjacent surfaces, as well as around patients, children, and pets.
