Samsung Chairman and OpenAI CEO Discuss AI Semiconductor Cooperation

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in San Francisco to discuss potential collaborations in artificial intelligence and the semiconductor industry. The meeting, held on July 25th local time, is understood to have focused on high-bandwidth memory (HBM) DRAM products, which are crucial for AI computing power.

Lee Jae-yong was joined by other OpenAI executives for the discussions. The talks are expected to have centered on cooperation plans for semiconductor products like HBM and DRAM.
