Samsung has confirmed that its previously previewed smart ring, the Galaxy Ring, will be launched. The company states the device is a central part of its future wearable device product line.
In an interview with TechRadar, Annikka Bizon, Samsung's Vice President of Mobile eXperience Product and Marketing, indicated that the Galaxy Ring, described as Samsung's smallest wearable, holds a significant role in the company's strategy.
Bizon mentioned that the Galaxy Ring offers health monitoring capabilities without disruption. She also noted that the ring is designed to work in conjunction with Samsung's smartwatches, complementing their functions. A specific release timeline and pricing have not yet been disclosed.
Although Samsung unveiled new foldable phones and smartwatches at its Galaxy Unpacked event, the Galaxy Ring was not released at that time. The company asserts that development is ongoing and further details are expected.
