Samsung Electro-Mechanics AI Component Deals Reach $2.6 Billion
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has announced long-term AI component contracts totaling approximately $2.6 billion. These agreements secure component supplies for server production through 2027 and beyond.

South Korean electronic components maker Samsung Electro-Mechanics has reported significant long-term contracts related to artificial intelligence components.
The company announced that its disclosed long-term AI component contracts this year have reached approximately 3.6 trillion won, or about $2.6 billion USD. These deals ensure component supplies for customers building servers for delivery in 2027 and subsequent years.
The latest agreement covers approximately $215 million worth of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and inductors for an unnamed global buyer, extending through 2027. Earlier in the year, the company signed a $1.15 billion contract for silicon capacitors in May and a $336 million MLCC agreement in June.
In early September, Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced its largest-ever MLCC contract, valued at $792 million, also for 2027 delivery. Within AI servers, MLCCs provide essential capacitance for power rail stabilization, while silicon capacitors suppress high-frequency noise near processors. These critical roles are driving server manufacturers to secure component supplies years in advance.
