Samsung Electronics to acquire 10.16% stake in TCL CSOT
Samsung Electronics is assuming direct ownership of a 10.16% stake in display manufacturer TCL CSOT, previously held by its subsidiary Samsung Display, to strengthen strategic operations.

Samsung Electronics has announced a transition in its holdings, moving a 10.16% stake in TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (TCL CSOT) from its display-focused subsidiary, Samsung Display, directly to the parent company.
TCL Technology remains the majority owner of TCL CSOT, retaining an 82.82% interest. This move aims to align the business interests of Samsung Electronics more closely with the panel manufacturer, a critical partner in its global television and electronics supply chain.
The industry has observed increased consolidation among panel manufacturers, and this direct investment signals a commitment by Samsung to maintain stable access to display technologies. By deepening the formal business relationship, both parties intend to streamline collaboration across the display value chain.
