The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A08 4G smartphone has received FCC certification, revealing key specifications including a MediaTek processor and a large battery capacity.
Samsung's anticipated Galaxy A08 4G smartphone has moved closer to its release, having passed certification with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The device, identified by model numbers SM-A085M (single SIM) and SM-A085M/DS (dual SIM), has had its technical details emerge.
The FCC documentation indicates that the Galaxy A08 4G will support GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks, including both LTE FDD and LTE TDD bands. Connectivity features also include dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, and an FM radio, ensuring a range of wireless and traditional communication options.
A notable feature highlighted in the filing is the device's battery capacity. The rated capacity is listed as 5830mAh, with an expected typical marketing value of 6000mAh. The phone will also come with an EP-T1510 charging adapter, supporting up to 15W wired charging, suggesting a focus on battery longevity.
Previously surfaced information from benchmark databases suggests the A08 4G will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It is expected to be paired with LPDDR4x RAM options (4GB/6GB/8GB) and UFS 2.2 storage (64GB/128GB/256GB), running on Android 17. Design schematics revealed in the FCC filings show a vertically aligned camera module on the rear of the device.
