Samsung Galaxy S27 Series Expected to See Price Increases

Reports suggest Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S27 smartphone lineup will face price hikes across all models. Higher storage configurations are anticipated to see significant increases.

1 October 2026

Samsung is expected to raise prices for its upcoming Galaxy S27 smartphone series, according to industry sources. In the South Korean market, the base model's starting price could increase by 100,000 to 130,000 won (approximately $70-$90 USD) compared to previous models.

All variants within the Galaxy S27 series are reportedly slated for price adjustments, with versions offering higher storage capacities expected to experience more substantial jumps. The price differentials between 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB configurations may deviate from traditional tiered pricing, leading to higher upgrade costs for users requiring more storage.

A primary driver for the anticipated price increases in the Galaxy S27 series is the higher cost associated with its storage components. Previous leaks indicated that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra models might incorporate more expensive UFS 5.1 flash memory and LPDDR6 RAM.

In the United States market, several versions of the Galaxy S26 series have already seen price increases. The base S26 model (256GB) launched at $900, a $100 increase over the previous generation's 128GB version. If this trend continues, the starting price for the base Galaxy S27 model could exceed $950.
