Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Benchmark Scores Reveal Performance Gains
New GeekBench test results show performance improvements for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra tablet. The device features a new, more powerful chip with increased performance compared to its predecessor.
Benchmark scores for Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra tablet have surfaced, indicating notable performance enhancements. The device, identified by model number SM-X940, appeared on GeekBench with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip clocked at 4.21GHz.
In comparison to the previous Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which featured a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ running at 3.73GHz, the new model achieved a single-core score of 2760 and a multi-core score of 9291 in GeekBench version 7.0.0. This represents an approximate 21% increase in single-core performance and a 16% rise in multi-core capabilities.
The benchmark listing also shows the tablet equipped with 12GB of RAM, consistent with the base configuration of the prior generation. Samsung is expected to offer a 16GB RAM variant, following the pattern of previous Ultra series releases.
Beyond the chipset, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears to maintain continuity with its predecessor's design and features. Dimensions are anticipated to be nearly identical to the Tab S11 Ultra, retaining a flat metal frame, slim bezels, dual rear cameras, and three pogo pins for keyboard accessory attachment. The tablet is also expected to continue with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, an 11600mAh battery, and 45W fast charging. The camera setup is likely to include a 13MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP front-facing camera.
