Details have emerged regarding Samsung's next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip8. According to a report from German tech publication WinFuture, the device will be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset. This new chip is expected to deliver an approximately 28% improvement in multi-core CPU performance compared to the Exynos 2500 found in the Galaxy Z Flip7.
In addition to the performance upgrade, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is also said to be lighter than its predecessor. The device is expected to weigh 180 grams, an 8-gram reduction from the 188-gram Galaxy Z Flip7. The overall design is anticipated to remain largely consistent with previous models.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, complemented by a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED external display. For photography, it will likely include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera.
Storage options are rumored to include 256GB and 512GB variants, both paired with 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to be available in Graphite, Cream, and Pink colorways, with pricing set at 1299 euros for the 256GB model and 1499 euros for the 512GB version.
