Reports indicate that Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, may reintroduce support for the S Pen stylus. According to media intelligence, this feature is slated exclusively for the Ultra variant, leaving the standard Z Fold 8 without S Pen functionality.

Samsung is also expected to enhance the clarity of the Z Fold 8 Ultra's inner display, with claims of a pixel density increase to 500 PPI. This would represent a substantial upgrade from the current 368 PPI and would align the Fold 8 Ultra's screen sharpness with Samsung's direct S26 Ultra models.

In terms of battery capacity, the Z Fold 8 Ultra is rumored to receive a 5000 mAh unit, an increase from the existing 4400 mAh. Wired charging speeds are also anticipated to be boosted from 25W to 45W. The device's thickness when unfolded is expected to see a slight reduction from 4.2mm to 4.1mm, while maintaining a weight of 215g.

For camera performance, the Ultra model is reportedly set to exclusively feature a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens. This differentiation would distinguish it from the regular Z Fold 8, which according to rumors, will not include the high-resolution ultrawide camera or S Pen support. Consumers seeking these advanced features would therefore need to opt for the more expensive Ultra model.
