Samsung plans to produce 1.14 million Galaxy Z Fold8 series foldable phones in October-November to meet market demand.

1 October 2026

Samsung Electronics is set to produce approximately 1.14 million units of its Galaxy Z Fold8 series foldable smartphones during October and November, according to reports from South Korean media outlet EtNews. The company is proceeding with component procurement for the planned production.

The production volume includes several models within the series: the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the standard Galaxy Z Fold8, and the Galaxy Z Flip8. These figures reflect Samsung's strategy to ramp up its foldable device output.

Analysis of the production plan indicates that the wider foldable model, the Galaxy Z Fold8, will have the highest allocation with around 500,000 units. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is slated for approximately 350,000 units, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 is planned for close to 280,000 units.

The foldable smartphone market has seen increasing interest, and Samsung continues to be a dominant player. This production increase suggests the company anticipates sustained consumer demand for its latest foldable offerings.
