Samsung is reportedly developing a new operating system, referred to as Galaxy OS, that will be deeply integrated with artificial intelligence features. The new system is expected to debut in 2028, potentially alongside the launch of the Galaxy S28 smartphone series.

This launch would coincide with the 10th anniversary of Samsung's current user interface, One UI. Reports indicate that Galaxy OS will be developed in parallel with One UI, and the company does not plan to retire One UI.

Further details suggest that Galaxy OS will feature a significant overhaul and may include the integration of paid third-party services, likely related to its AI capabilities. This indicates a potential shift towards enhanced, possibly subscription-based, AI functionalities.

Samsung introduced One UI in 2018 as a successor to Samsung Experience. The interface was designed to provide a consistent user experience across Samsung's range of devices, including foldable phones, and has been a key element of the company's mobile software strategy.
