Samsung Revamps Galaxy Harajuku Experience with YouTube Shorts Collaboration

Samsung Electronics is revamping its popular "Oshi-katsu" (fan experience) event at the Galaxy Harajuku showcase in Tokyo, beginning March 1, 2023. The second phase of the "Galaxy Harajuku" event introduces new interactive experiences, integrating Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip4 foldable smartphone with YouTube Shorts.

The event will feature popular YouTube creators, including Crazy Magnet and Heisei Flamingo, alongside the returning CommeDot from the first phase. Visitors can create 3D videos with their favorite creators, participate in games to win limited merchandise, and undergo a "partner" analysis to discover their ideal creator match. The experience aims to deepen fan engagement while showcasing Galaxy devices.

Galaxy Harajuku, one of the largest Galaxy brand showcases globally, is offering the ability to shoot 3D videos with creators using the Galaxy Z Flip4. A new feature allows these videos to be turned into printable stickers, providing a tangible memory. The event leverages the foldable phone's camera capabilities and interactive features.

Additionally, an "Oshi Crane Game" allows participants to win exclusive stickers and other items. By posting on social media platforms like YouTube Shorts with designated hashtags, visitors can earn bonus rewards. The event runs through the end of April, blending technology and fan culture for a unique consumer experience.
