Samsung Electronics has initiated mass production of its Exynos 2700 processor, which is set to be a core component of the forthcoming Galaxy S27 smartphone series. According to IT Home, the production volume for this chip has been increased by 10% compared to the previous generation.

South Korean media outlet The Elec has confirmed that Samsung has secured Exynos 2700 chip supplies for the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Pro models, indicating the chip has moved beyond the sample stage into full production.

The increased production is reportedly driven by the demand for the Galaxy S27 Pro model. The manufacturing process from wafer to finished chip typically takes three to four months, aligning with the projected launch of the Galaxy S27 series in January of next year.

Samsung is maintaining its dual-chip strategy for the Galaxy S27 series. Devices sold in Korea and Europe will feature the Exynos 2700, while the US and Chinese markets are expected to receive Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy. Performance benchmarks suggest the Exynos 2700 offers a multi-core performance approximately 9.5% higher than its Snapdragon counterpart.
