Samsung Unveils New Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 Foldables, Smartwatches
Samsung has launched its 2026 lineup of foldable smartphones, including the Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Flip 8, along with new smartwatches. Prices start at $1,200.

Samsung has introduced its 2026 lineup of foldable smartphones, expanding the family to three models for the first time in its eight-generation foldable series. The new offerings include the flagship Z Fold 8 Ultra, the broader Z Fold 8 aimed at media consumption, and a thinner Z Flip 8. The company also launched two new smartwatches.
Pre-orders for the new Samsung hardware are now open. However, component shortages have led to increased prices across the product lines. The Z Flip 8 now starts at over $1,200, with the Z Fold 8 Ultra priced significantly higher.
The Z Fold 8 Ultra retains the form factor of previous Samsung tablet-style foldables. It features a 6.5-inch outer OLED display similar to a standard smartphone screen. When unfolded, it reveals an 8-inch display, nearly square, designed to offer a larger viewing area.
All three of the new foldable models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. They are available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra feature larger batteries and faster charging, with the Ultra model equipped with a 200MP main camera.
