Samsung updates calendar interface in upcoming One UI 9.5 release

Samsung is preparing interface updates for its calendar application as part of the One UI 9.5 release. Recent previews indicate that the company is modifying core navigation elements to improve user ergonomics and simplify data access.

Significant changes include moving the search button from the top of the interface to the bottom right corner as a standalone floating button, intended to facilitate easier one-handed use. Additionally, the bottom action bar has been reduced in width to remove redundant information, while settings, synchronization, and trash folder options have been consolidated above the account list in the sidebar.

Search functionality is also being updated with a new "Important Events" section. This feature highlights high-priority items at the top of the search view, providing faster access to scheduled meetings and key appointments for users with dense calendar entries. These refinements emphasize a shift toward a cleaner, more task-oriented user experience.
