Samsung Wallet to Unlock and Start Some GM Cars
Digital keys stored in Samsung Wallet can now lock, unlock, and start select General Motors (GM) vehicles in the US and Canada.
Users of certain Samsung devices in the US and Canada can now utilize digital keys stored within their Samsung Wallet to lock, unlock, and start select GM vehicles.
The feature will initially support select 2026 and 2027 Cadillac electric vehicles, including the Lyriq (model years 2025-2027), Optic (2026-2027), and Vistiq (2027).
General Motors announced earlier this month that digital key functionality would also be extended to certain GMC and Chevrolet trucks starting in December. GM clarified that this feature is not exclusive to Samsung Wallet, and will also be available through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for compatible iPhones, Apple Watches, and Pixel devices.
GM intends to expand compatibility to additional models by the end of 2026.
