SEOUL โ€“ Samsung Electronics is expected to expand its dual-chip supplier strategy to the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro smartphone, according to a report by local media outlet MONEYTODAY. This indicates that the Galaxy S27 Pro will utilize either Qualcomm processors or Samsung's in-house developed Exynos 2700 chips, allocated by region.

The top-tier Galaxy S27 Ultra model is anticipated to exclusively feature Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. The remaining models in the series โ€“ standard, Plus, and Pro โ€“ will adopt processors from either Qualcomm or Samsung's System LSI division.

This move is seen as a strategic effort by Samsung to increase the utilization of its own Exynos chips. By implementing them in more smartphone models, the company aims to spread development and manufacturing costs and improve the profitability of its System LSI business.

The Galaxy S27 Pro, positioned between the S27 and S27 Ultra in terms of size and features, may offer differentiated specifications to appeal to a broader range of consumers, potentially leveraging the custom silicon for unique capabilities.
