New information suggests Samsung is planning significant alterations to its Android-based One UI operating system. The upcoming One UI 10 is reportedly set to bring major changes, with the Galaxy Z Fold9 anticipated to be the first device to launch with the updated software.

An anonymous insider, closely watched in tech circles, has revealed that software development teams are actively working on this project. The current iteration, One UI 9.5, is said to be the final version adhering to the traditional UI structure, indicating a substantial departure for One UI 10.

Samsung's One UI was first introduced in 2018, replacing Samsung Experience. It was designed to offer a consistent user interface across both foldable and non-foldable devices, aiming to improve user interaction and experience.

Samsung recently began rolling out the official One UI 9 update to several Galaxy devices, including the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. While One UI 9.5 is currently under testing, attention is shifting towards the forthcoming One UI 10 and its anticipated overhaul.
