SanDisk Releases 520 and 320 SATA SSDs
SanDisk has officially launched its new 520 and 320 SATA SSDs, targeting different user segments. Both drives feature a 2.5-inch form factor and utilize 3D NAND technology without external DRAM cache.
SanDisk has officially introduced two new SATA Solid State Drive (SSD) models: the SanDisk 520 SATA SSD and the SanDisk 320 SATA SSD. Both drives adhere to the standard 2.5-inch, 7mm form factor and are built with SanDisk's 3D NAND technology, notably omitting an external DRAM cache.
The SanDisk 520 SATA SSD is positioned for IT professionals, content creators, and prosumers. It is available in capacities ranging from 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, up to 4TB, and comes with a five-year limited warranty. The drive offers sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 525MB/s.
The SanDisk 320 SATA SSD is aimed at users looking to upgrade from traditional hard drives to faster SSD storage. This model is offered in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities, all backed by a three-year limited warranty. It provides a consistent sequential read speed of up to 545MB/s across all its configurations. By utilizing 3D NAND technology, both new SSDs aim to deliver enhanced storage efficiency and endurance. The absence of an external DRAM cache suggests these drives are optimized for cost-efficiency and broad usability, making them suitable for a wider range of consumers and general computing tasks.
