Sands China and NBA Cares successfully concluded a five-day community impact week with a concluding event held in Macao. The Community Basketball Carnival at NBA HOUSE served as the culmination of the week-long initiative, which coincided with the final day of the NBA China Games 2026.
Approximately 200 individuals participated in the carnival, including notable athletes and members from local community organizations. Among those present were NBA legend Chris Bosh, Sands Global Ambassador Sir David Beckham, Chinese women's national basketball player Zhang Ziyu, and Olympic gold medalist Wang Meng. Members of the Macau Special Olympics and families from local social service organizations also attended.
The carnival featured basketball-themed activities and family-friendly experiences. NBA coaches led basketball clinics, focusing on skill development and encouraging personal growth among participants. The event aimed to promote the inclusive power of sports and foster meaningful exchanges among diverse community stakeholders.
The week was integrated with the broader NBA China Games 2026 and focused on uniting sport with community engagement. Sands China and NBA Cares have collaborated on similar charitable initiatives in the past.
