Sands Shopping Carnival Attracts Nearly 160,000 Visitors
The 2026 Sands Shopping Carnival, held July 23-26 at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Expo, attracted nearly 160,000 visitors over four days, setting a new annual attendance record for the event.
The Sands Shopping Carnival, a retail event organized by Sands China Ltd., concluded on July 26 after attracting close to 160,000 visitors over its four-day run. Held at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Expo, the event saw its highest annual attendance since its inception in 2020.
This year's carnival featured over 580 booths across eight themed zones, including a newly expanded food court and a "Sports Experience Zone." The event also showcased cultural and creative brands from the Greater Bay Area, aiming to provide a comprehensive summer experience for residents and tourists.
The event serves as a significant platform for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Sands retailers, offering complimentary booth space to foster business growth and brand visibility. Sands China stated the carnival supports Macao's "Tourism+" policy, contributing to the city's economic diversification.
Since its debut in 2020, the Sands Shopping Carnival has cumulative attendance of 800,000 visits. Sands China indicated plans to continue developing and expanding the event in the coming years.
