Sandvik has completed the acquisition of ThoroughTec Simulation, a provider of heavy equipment simulators and training systems tailored for the global mining sector. The acquired company will be integrated into the Parts and Services division within Sandvik’s mining business area.

Based in Durban, South Africa, ThoroughTec employs over 200 people and maintains an international sales and support network. The company reported annual revenues of approximately SEK 170 million in 2025, alongside a solid EBITA margin.

This move aligns with Sandvik’s strategy to bolster its service-led growth through digital training technologies. The acquisition allows Sandvik to incorporate simulation-based training into its existing aftermarket offerings, addressing industry demand for safer and more efficient equipment operation.
