Sanofi has committed an additional $625 million to its venture capital arm, Sanofi Ventures, boosting the fund's assets under management to over $1.4 billion. The increased capital infusion is intended to accelerate investments in biotechnology and digital health companies aligned with Sanofi's long-term strategy.

The fund will continue to focus on Sanofi's core areas, including immunology, rare diseases, neurology, and vaccines. Since its inception in 2012, Sanofi Ventures has invested more than $800 million across over 70 innovative companies.

Paul Hudson, CEO of Sanofi, stated that the significant capital commitment reflects a strong belief in the role of early-stage companies in driving medical breakthroughs. "By strengthening our investment capabilities, we are accelerating our ability to bring next-generation therapies and build valuable partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem," Hudson said.

Jason P. Hafler, PhD, Managing Director at Sanofi Ventures, emphasized that the increased capital enables a deeper role as a strategic investor in breakthrough science and digital innovation. Hafler also cited the fund's strong performance, including three exits in 2024 totaling $3.25 billion, validating their approach to identifying and supporting companies at the forefront of medical innovation.
