Sanofi has announced the completion of its acquisition of Blueprint Medicines Corporation. The deal adds rare disease medicines and expertise in systemic mastocytosis to Sanofi's portfolio.

Paris, July 18, 2025 – Sanofi announced today the completion of its acquisition of Blueprint Medicines Corporation. The transaction broadens Sanofi's portfolio with treatments for rare and KIT-driven diseases, enhancing the company's expertise in these areas.
The acquisition includes Ayvakit/Ayvakyt (avapritinib), a medicine approved in the US and EU for the treatment of systemic mastocytosis (SM). SM is a rare immunological disease characterized by the accumulation and activation of mast cells in various organs.
Sanofi also gains elenestinib, a next-generation medicine for SM that is a potent and selective inhibitor of the KIT D816V mutation. This investigational drug is currently part of the ongoing phase 2/3 HARBOR study.
Furthermore, the acquisition includes BLU-808, an investigational oral drug that inhibits wild-type KIT. This move strengthens Sanofi's presence in allergology, dermatology, and immunology, supporting the company's growing immunology pipeline.
Blueprint Medicines' common stock will cease trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market effective July 18, 2025.
