Sanofi: Phase 2 Trial Data Suggests Promising Therapeutic Potential for AlphaMedix in Neuroendocrine Tumors
Sanofi presented new Phase 2 trial data for its investigational treatment AlphaMedix, showing potential as a first-in-class targeted alpha therapy for patients with gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors.

Paris, October 20, 2025 – Sanofi presented new data from the Phase 2 ALPHAMEDIX-02 trial evaluating AlphaMedix™ (212Pb-DOTAMTATE) at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress in Berlin. This investigational treatment represents a potential new class of targeted alpha therapies.
The trial assessed AlphaMedix in patients with gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors (GEP-NET). The results demonstrated prolonged and clinically significant responses in patients who had or had not previously received peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT).
This Phase 2 study was the first to evaluate a targeted alpha therapy using lead-212 in GEP-NET patients. The study met all primary efficacy endpoints and was presented in two oral sessions at ESMO 2025.
The development of AlphaMedix offers a new therapeutic approach for rare and difficult-to-treat cancers. Sanofi continues clinical development with the aim of making this targeted alpha therapy accessible to patients.
