Sanofi reorganizes Executive Committee to support strategic direction
Sanofi has announced changes to its Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026. The move aims to bring together a focused leadership team to support the company's priorities and prepare for its next strategic chapter.
Paris – Pharmaceutical company Sanofi announced an evolution of its Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026. The restructuring aims to consolidate a focused leadership team across its businesses, scientific organization, and key global functions.
The committee will now comprise seven members. François Roger remains EVP, Finance; Paulo Fontoura is EVP, Head of Research & Development; Manuela Buxo is EVP, Specialty Care; and Thomas Triomphe is EVP, Vaccines, adding responsibility for China. Brendan O’Callaghan serves as EVP, Manufacturing & Supply, and Jamie Haney as EVP, General Counsel.
Véronique Jaillet will act as interim Chief People Officer. Madeleine Roach, currently Head of Business Operations, will become President and Country Lead for Sanofi Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Her former responsibilities will be integrated into the Finance function, which will also gain expanded oversight of Global Partnering and Business Development.
Olivier Charmeil, formerly EVP, General Medicines, will transition to Strategic Projects Advisor to the CEO. Roy Papatheodorou, EVP, General Counsel, is departing the company to pursue external opportunities.
Sanofi CEO Belén Garijo stated that the reconstituted Executive Committee features experienced professionals tasked with shaping the company's future direction and ensuring delivery for patients and stakeholders.
