SAS introduces invoice and installment payment options for flights
Airline SAS has introduced new payment methods allowing customers to pay for flights via invoice or installment payments for up to 24 months.
SAS is now offering its private customers the option to pay for their flights via invoice or to split the payment into installments over up to 24 months. This expands the company's existing payment methods, which include card and direct internet banking payments.
The new payment solutions are being implemented in partnership with the financial services company Klarna. SAS becomes one of the first European airlines to offer such flexible payment options to its passengers.
"We want to offer our customers greater freedom of choice in how they pay for their trips. We believe many will appreciate the ability to pay for their journey with an invoice or to spread the payment over time," stated Christina Ericsson, VP Global Digital Sales at SAS.
Initially, invoice and installment payments will be available in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. SAS plans to continue rolling out these payment options across its markets.
