SAS Launches Direct Flights Between Scandinavia and Seoul
SAS commenced its first-ever non-stop service between Scandinavia and South Korea on September 12, 2025, from Copenhagen to Seoul. The new route will operate four times weekly during the autumn season.

SAS began its inaugural direct service between Scandinavia and South Korea on September 12, 2025, with the first flight departing from Copenhagen to Seoul. The new route is scheduled to operate four times per week during the autumn and three times per week during the upcoming winter season.
Passenger demand for the route has led SAS to announce a 50% capacity increase for next summer, with up to six weekly flights planned from June 2026. The airline cites a surge in interest in Korea among Scandinavian travelers and aims to provide Korean visitors with access to Scandinavia's cities and natural attractions.
"This is an exciting day for SAS and our passengers," stated Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS. "With our inaugural flight to Seoul, we are not only responding to strong customer demand but also strengthening the ties between Scandinavia and one of Asia’s most vibrant hubs."
The new route makes Seoul SAS' 14th intercontinental destination from Copenhagen, reinforcing the city's role as a global hub and SAS' position as Scandinavia's gateway to the world. Flights will utilize the fuel-efficient Airbus A350, connecting passengers to over 100 destinations across Europe.
