SAS partners with telecommunications operator 3

SAS has entered into a strategic commercial agreement with telecommunications provider 3 to manage the airline's global operational mobile communication. The partnership aims to enhance both the airline's internal connectivity infrastructure and the digital experience for passengers on board.

A key feature of the agreement is the introduction of free onboard Wi-Fi for EuroBonus members and 3 customers on aircraft equipped with Starlink. SAS CEO Anko van der Werff stated that the initiative is intended to provide a seamless travel experience, matching ground-level connectivity expectations with high-speed internet in the sky.

Beyond connectivity, the companies are exploring deeper commercial synergies, including potential integration between the EuroBonus loyalty program and 3’s mobile services. This partnership represents a shift toward more digitized travel services as SAS continues to modernize its operational framework.
