SAS Resumes Direct Route to Mallorca from Copenhagen

SAS is resuming its direct route between Copenhagen and Mallorca on Saturday, September 3, 2011. The airline will operate the service twice weekly, offering passengers a direct connection from the changeable Scandinavian weather to the Spanish island's warmth.

Initially, flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays through the end of October. Starting with the winter schedule on October 30, flights will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. From March 2012, SAS will double the frequency on the route, offering four weekly departures.

SAS has opened a total of 14 new routes from Copenhagen, Oslo, and Stockholm this year. The airline plans to launch three additional routes in the autumn, bringing the total number of new options for customers to 17 by the end of the year.

According to the airline, factors such as free baggage, EuroBonus points, free seat selection, and child discounts also contribute to the route's popularity. SAS is currently the only airline offering a direct connection from Copenhagen to Mallorca within the winter traffic program.
