SAS to Introduce New Long-Haul Cabin
SAS will introduce a redesigned long-haul cabin featuring new seats, an updated entertainment system, and onboard Wi-Fi in mid-February 2015. This marks the initial phase of a broader fleet investment.

SAS is set to introduce its first completely refurbished long-haul cabin, with an Airbus A330 aircraft named "Erik Viking" scheduled to enter service in mid-February 2015. This initiative is part of a significant investment by the airline to upgrade its long-haul fleet.
The overhaul includes new seating across all classes, a completely new entertainment system, and Wi-Fi connectivity for passengers. The "Erik Viking" will initially operate routes between Copenhagen and the United States. A second updated aircraft is expected to enter service by late March, primarily serving routes from Stockholm/Oslo to the U.S.
This upgrade program encompasses the modernization of seven existing Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft, alongside the introduction of new A330-300 planes starting in fall 2015. SAS anticipates that the majority of its long-haul fleet will feature the new cabin design by the end of 2015.
The airline is focusing on enhancing the passenger experience through these fleet improvements, aiming to meet evolving customer expectations for comfort and connectivity on intercontinental journeys.
