Saudi Red Sea Authority Announces Major Yachting Developments
The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has announced several new initiatives and partnerships at the Monaco Yacht Show, aimed at establishing the Red Sea as a premier year-round yachting destination.
The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) concluded its participation at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 with a series of announcements and partnerships designed to develop the Saudi Red Sea into a year-round destination for the international yachting community.
Key among the announcements was the launch of Yachting Network, a new network of marinas and yacht clubs that will connect AMAALA Yacht Club and Shura Island Marina, offering access to 278 berths starting winter 2026. Additional marinas are expected to join the network in 2027.
The event also saw the announcement of the Red Sea Yacht Show, scheduled to take place at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina from October 14-17, 2027. This event is positioned to gather the global yachting community at a strategic point in the calendar.
Further developments included the signing of memorandums of understanding to bolster yacht maintenance capabilities within Saudi Arabia, and the introduction of RASA, a unified digital platform to streamline licensing and permit processes for coastal tourism.
The STA highlighted the Red Sea's extensive coastline, spanning over 1,800 km, as offering a unique winter cruising ground with warm waters and diverse destinations such as Jeddah, The Red Sea, and AMAALA.
