Scan Sverige, part of Lantmännen, has announced the acquisition of Slaktarkorv, a Swedish producer of sausages and charcuterie. This move is intended to broaden Scan Sverige's product range and reinforce its commitment to Swedish food production.
The acquisition includes the Slaktarkorv brand, which was founded in 2013 and uses 100 percent Swedish meat in its products. Scan Sverige has already been involved in the processing and production of Slaktarkorv through a cooperation agreement.
The transaction is structured as a brand acquisition and is scheduled for completion on April 1, 2026. Scan Sverige cited Slaktarkorv's recent market growth in both turnover and volume as a key factor in the decision.
Scan Sverige, described as Sweden's leading meat and charcuterie company, aims to increase the availability of Swedish meat and charcuterie products. The company sees particular potential for growth in Slaktarkorv's spiced sausage offerings.
