Scandic and SAS Integrate Loyalty Programs
Scandic Hotels Group and SAS are launching a partnership to align their loyalty programs, enabling members to match status levels and transfer points between accounts.
Scandic Hotels Group and SAS have announced a strategic integration of their respective loyalty programs, Scandic Friends and SAS EuroBonus. Starting immediately, members can match their status levels across both programs, with point transfers becoming available in June.
The partnership allows members with higher status at Scandic to access SAS travel perks, including fast-track entry, rebooking flexibility, and airport lounge access. Specifically, Scandic Friends level 4 members will equate to EuroBonus Silver status, with higher tiers reaching EuroBonus Gold and Diamond levels.
In June, the system will allow for two-way point conversion at a rate of 1 EuroBonus point to 2 Scandic Friends points. The companies stated that no fees will apply to these transfers, and there will be no cap on the number of points exchanged per transaction.
This move aims to increase customer retention for both entities. Scandic, which seeks to double its loyalty membership by 2030, views the integration as a way to enhance the value proposition for frequent travelers across the Nordic region.
