Scandic Hotels Adds Two Signature Hotels in Nordic Region

Scandic Hotels Group is expanding its collection of signature hotels with two new properties in the Nordic region: Scandic Marski in Helsinki and the historic Hotel Norge in Bergen. The company aims to offer unique hotel experiences by highlighting the distinct character and history of these locations.

The rebranded Scandic Marski in Helsinki is expected to be ready by spring 2018. The Hotel Norge in Bergen, which features approximately 420 rooms, is scheduled to reopen following a comprehensive renovation in mid-2018. Both hotels are intended to serve as social hubs, attracting both local residents and visitors.

These hotels will be marketed under their own names with the "by Scandic" designation, emphasizing their individual identities. This initiative aligns with Scandic's strategy to cater to travelers seeking distinctive and personalized accommodation experiences beyond standard offerings.

The first hotels in Scandic's signature collection, Haymarket by Scandic and Scandic Grand Central, both in Stockholm, opened in May and autumn 2016, respectively. Scandic plans to continue growing its signature hotel portfolio in the Nordic countries in the coming years.
