The hotel chain is set to open its third property in Frankfurt, Germany, in partnership with property investors. Additionally, Scandic is increasing its presence in northern Norway with a new franchise hotel planned for Finnsnes in the summer of 2028.
The Frankfurt hotel, located in a key business hub, will undergo repositioning and upgrades to align with Scandic's brand and operational standards before reopening in 2027. This expansion is part of the company's strategy to grow selectively in strong markets.
The new franchise hotel in Finnsnes aims to bolster Scandic's position in northern Norway, catering to both leisure and business travelers in the Arctic region.
Furthermore, Scandic has secured a new long-term financing framework amounting to SEK 7.5 billion. This funding is intended to support the company's ongoing growth strategy, including a planned acquisition of Dalata Hotel Group, while enhancing its financial flexibility.
