Scandic Hotels Group Repurchases Shares Worth Over 1.3 Million Euros in Early January
Scandic Hotels Group AB repurchased 195,000 own shares between December 30, 2024, and January 3, 2025, as part of an ongoing buyback program.

Scandic Hotels Group AB announced on January 6, 2025, that it repurchased 195,000 of its own shares during the first week of the year, between December 30, 2024, and January 3, 2025. The total value of these transactions amounted to approximately SEK 13.4 million (over 1.3 million euros).
These repurchases are part of a SEK 300 million share buyback program that commenced on December 9, 2024, and is set to conclude by March 31, 2025. The program is being executed in compliance with the EU's Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and related commission regulations.
The shares were acquired on Nasdaq Stockholm through Nordea. Following these transactions, Scandic's holding of treasury shares increased to 1,035,000. This brings the total number of shares in the company to 219,157,922, with outstanding shares, excluding treasury stock, totaling 218,122,922.
Scandic is the largest hotel company in the Nordic region, operating approximately 280 hotels and 58,000 rooms across more than 130 destinations. The company is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
