Scandic Hotels Group, a leading Nordic hotel operator, is expanding its presence in the German capital with the opening of Scandic Charlottenburg on August 1, 2026. This marks the company's third hotel in Berlin.
The new 214-room hotel is situated near the Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard. The property has undergone a complete renovation, merging Nordic design with the relaxed elegance characteristic of the Charlottenburg district. Scandic aims for the hotel to serve as a meeting point for both business and leisure travelers, adhering to the group's sustainability standards with a focus on energy efficiency.
Facilities include flexible meeting and event spaces, a fitness area, and a sauna. Laura Tarkka, COO of Scandic Hotels, stated that the addition strategically complements their Berlin portfolio. "The property adds a new facet to our portfolio, clearly embodying our Nordic heritage and the character of Charlottenburg," Tarkka said.
With the opening of Scandic Charlottenburg, Scandic will operate nine hotels in Germany, offering over 3,000 rooms in key cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich.
