Scandic Hotels offers digital newspapers and magazines to guests
Scandic Hotels Group, the largest hotel chain in the Nordics, is providing guests and visitors with complimentary access to PressReader's digital media platform.

Scandic Hotels Group, the largest hotel chain in the Nordic region, has partnered with the digital media platform PressReader. Effective January 16, 2017, hotel guests and visitors will receive free access to over 5,000 digital newspapers and magazines.
The service will be available in all Scandic hotels via smartphone, tablet, or laptop. This initiative allows guests to read and save unlimited publications, contributing to resource conservation by reducing paper consumption. This aligns with Scandic's environmental strategy.
"The PressReader offering provides a complimentary service for guests and visitors and is part of our environmental strategy," stated Steffen Seichter, Director E-Distribution Germany at Scandic. "Guests can read and save as many media outlets and articles as they wish. Once downloaded, the publications can also be read during further travel or at home – entirely without paper waste."
For international guests, PressReader offers the ability to read publications from their home countries while staying at Scandic hotels. The selection includes publications from over 100 countries, such as The Washington Post, The Guardian, and Le Monde.
Access to the digital media content is available through Scandic's Wi-Fi via the PressReader app or website.
