Scandic Hotels Reports 3.5 Percent Net Sales Growth in Half-Year Report

Scandic Hotels' interim report for the first half of 2026 reveals a net sales increase of 3.5 percent year-over-year, totaling SEK 5,998 million. Organic growth for the period stood at 1.2 percent.
In the second quarter (April 1 – June 30, 2026), net sales matched the half-year figure of SEK 5,998 million. The average occupancy rate was 65.6 percent, a slight decrease from 65.9 percent in the same period last year. However, revenue per available room (RevPAR) saw a modest increase to SEK 882 from SEK 879.
The company's operating profit for the half-year amounted to SEK 899 million, an improvement from SEK 816 million in the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA also showed a significant increase, reaching SEK 796 million, compared to SEK 723 million previously.
Earnings per share, excluding IFRS 16 effects, were reported at SEK 2.01, up from SEK 1.69. Free cash flow for the period was SEK 532 million. These results indicate a positive trend in Scandic's financial performance within the Nordic hotel market.
