Scandic Hotels reports organic growth as board proposes dividend

Scandic Hotels Group recorded 4.2 percent organic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing annual net sales to 22.29 billion SEK. Operating profit for the quarter totaled 477 million SEK, down from 626 million SEK in the same period last year, impacted by one-off restructuring costs and soft demand in the Finnish market.

Regional performance varied significantly; while operations in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark showed year-on-year improvements, the Finnish segment faced challenges due to economic headwinds. To improve cost efficiency, Scandic implemented an organizational restructuring during the quarter, which the company expects will stabilize central costs moving forward.

Expansion efforts remained a priority, with new openings in Stuttgart and Florø, alongside a new management agreement for Dalata Hotel Group’s operations. The carve-out process for the Dalata integration is underway and is expected to reach completion by the second half of 2026. Further growth in the 'Scandic Go' budget segment is planned for Stavanger and Tromsø.

Given the company’s positive cash flow and financial standing, the Board of Directors has proposed a dividend of 2.60 SEK per share. Management noted a positive start to the current year, citing improved booking levels compared to the previous period.
