Scandic Hotels Group AB repurchased a total of 255,000 of its own shares during the second week of 2025, from January 7 to January 10. These transactions are part of the ongoing share buyback program initiated by the company's Board of Directors.
The buybacks fall under a SEK 300 million program that commenced on December 9, 2024, and is scheduled to conclude no later than March 31, 2025. The repurchases were executed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange by Nordea on behalf of Scandic, adhering to the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR).
In week 2, the total value of the repurchased shares was approximately SEK 17 million, with an average price of 66.66 SEK per share. Following these purchases, Scandic's holding of its own shares increased to 1,290,000.
Cumulatively, since the program's inception, Scandic has bought back 1,290,000 shares at an average price of 67.57 SEK, totaling approximately SEK 87.17 million. Scandic is the largest hotel company in the Nordics with around 280 hotels.
