Scandic Hotels to open third hotel in Frankfurt

Scandic Hotels Group has finalized a long-term lease agreement with real estate investor Union Investment to launch its third hotel in Frankfurt. This move aligns with the group's ongoing expansion strategy in Germany's major financial and business hubs.

The hotel is located adjacent to Messe Frankfurt, one of the world's largest exhibition centers, positioning it to capture both business and leisure travel demand. Before its 2027 launch, the property will undergo significant upgrades to align with Scandic's operational and design standards.

Once completed, the hotel will feature 296 rooms, a restaurant and bar, and 500 square meters of meeting and event space. CEO Jens Mathiesen stated that the expansion strengthens the company's presence in a key European metropolitan region characterized by consistent business activity.

This new site joins Scandic's existing portfolio in Frankfurt, creating a network of locations across the city. The hotel will receive a Nordic Swan Ecolabel certification upon opening.
