Scandic Opens New Hotel Concept in Turku
Scandic Hotels Group has opened its first Scandic Go hotel in Turku, Finland. The concept targets city travelers and offers digital self-service solutions.

Scandic Hotels Group has opened its first Scandic Go hotel in downtown Turku. The new hotel is part of the chain's strategy to expand in selected markets and offer accommodation options for city travelers.
The Scandic Go concept combines smart design and digital services to create a seamless and independent stay. The hotel features 24/7 food and beverage options and self-service facilities, aiming to provide good value near city amenities.
The Turku Scandic Go is located on Eerikinkatu street with 138 rooms. The property previously housed Scandic Atrium. The hotel also includes lounge areas for work and relaxation, as well as a self-service laundry. This is the chain's first Go hotel in Finland, and it is preparing for the summer travel season.
Scandic plans to open a second Scandic Go hotel in Oulu in July. The hotel group believes the new hotels will support growth, particularly in business and leisure travel in Oulu and Turku, the latter also serving as a gateway to the archipelago. The hotels also aim to minimize environmental impact and are certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.
