Scandic Hotels Group will open its new hotel, Scandic Victoria Tower, in Kista, Stockholm, on September 15, 2011. The 118-meter-tall building will be the tallest hotel in the Nordic region and features 299 rooms across 34 floors.

The hotel was designed by architect Gert Wingårdh, with a facade clad in over 8,000 triangular glass panels. The interior design incorporates furniture and lighting from international brands such as Vitra, Montana, and Flos. Art students from Konstfack have created artworks for the hotel's elevator halls.

Located on the 34th floor, a sky bar offers views of Stockholm. The hotel's common areas, including the lobby, lounge, and restaurant, are designed as an open social space for work, meetings, and relaxation. The property also includes meeting facilities and a gym.

Built by developer Arthur Buchardt, Scandic will take over the hotel's operations on September 15. Its location in Kista Science City, one of the largest business districts in the Nordics, addresses a growing demand for hotel accommodations in the area.
