Scandic renovates hotels in Aalborg
Scandic Hotels Group has completed extensive renovations of common areas at Scandic Aalborg Øst and Scandic Aalborg City, aiming to enhance the guest experience and strengthen the company's position in the city.

Scandic Hotels Group has concluded significant renovation work at its two hotels in Aalborg, Denmark: Scandic Aalborg Øst and Scandic Aalborg City. The renovations focused on the hotels' communal spaces, including restaurants, bars, and conference facilities.
The hotel chain, one of Aalborg's largest operators with a total of 269 rooms across the two properties, aims to improve the experience for both leisure and business travelers. The renovations also support Aalborg's role as a destination for congresses and events.
At Scandic Aalborg City, the breakfast restaurant has been modernized with a new design and increased seating capacity. Scandic Aalborg Øst has undergone a complete overhaul of its public areas, encompassing the lobby, bar, restaurant, and conference section, with a focus on creating flexible and inviting zones.
Finn Rosenqvist, hotel director for both properties, stated that the goal was to create functional and high-quality spaces that reflect the standards expected in Aalborg for both accommodation and meeting facilities. Sustainability was also a consideration, with recycled materials used in new textiles and existing furniture reupholstered or donated.
