Scandic Hotels Group has signed an agreement for a new hotel in Hamburg, Germany, featuring approximately 430 rooms. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2030.

Scandic Hotels Group is expanding its presence in Germany with the signing of a new hotel in Hamburg, the country's largest harbor city and Europe's third largest. The hotel, set to comprise approximately 430 rooms, is slated for opening in 2030.
The new establishment will be strategically located near Ankelmannplatz square and the Berliner Tor station, a significant transportation hub. The area is undergoing a substantial urban development project, and the hotel is expected to become a key part of the district's transformation.
Scandic has entered into a long-term lease agreement with property owners PEG and Reiss+Co for the site. The hotel's design will incorporate a rooftop bar with a terrace offering city views, a restaurant, a lounge, and a fitness center, emphasizing modern and sustainable features.
Jens Mathiesen, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group, stated that this development is a crucial step in the company's long-term strategy for Germany. He commented that the hotel aims to be a meeting place in the heart of Hamburg.
