Scandic to open new hotel in Ski outside Oslo
Scandic Hotels Group is expanding its operations in Norway with a new, 15-story hotel in Ski, near Oslo. The hotel is expected to open in 2026.

Scandic Hotels Group has signed an agreement to open a new hotel in Ski, Norway, located in the municipality of Follo, just outside Oslo. The hotel is set to open in 2026 and will be centrally located next to the train station.
The new 15-story hotel will feature 220 rooms, meeting facilities, and a rooftop bar with panoramic views. The building will also house offices, creating a new hub in the city.
Scandic views Ski as a strategic location. The area is anticipated to experience significant growth due to renovations of the central station and downtown area, as well as new residential developments. The upcoming Follobanen railway connection is expected to shorten travel time to Oslo, making the region more attractive for commuters.
Scandic has previously identified potential for hotel operations at public transport hubs. This new hotel will strengthen the company's presence in the growing region around Oslo. Scandic currently operates 19 hotels with a total of 4,211 rooms in and around the capital.
