Scandic to Open One of Frankfurt's Largest Conference Hotels
Scandic Hotels has signed a long-term lease agreement for a new hotel in Frankfurt's Hafenpark Quarter, set to open in 2021. The property will be one of the city's largest conference facilities.

Scandic Hotels, the largest hotel company in the Nordic region, has signed a long-term lease agreement with developer B&L Group to operate a new hotel in Frankfurt. The conference and event hotel, named Scandic Frankfurt Hafenpark, is scheduled to open in 2021.
The hotel will be part of the new "Hafenpark Quarter" development, located on the banks of the Main river, close to the city center and adjacent to the European Central Bank's (ECB) new headquarters. The facility will span 22,000 square meters, featuring 506 rooms and 2,000 square meters of conference and event space.
Scandic Frankfurt Hafenpark will also include a restaurant, bar, modern fitness facilities, and one of Frankfurt's largest ballrooms, measuring 600 square meters. Scandic anticipates the hotel will perform well due to its location near the ECB and Frankfurt's status as a major financial hub.
Even Frydenberg, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group, stated that the new hotel aligns with Scandic's strategy to expand in Germany's largest cities. This second Frankfurt hotel aims to increase brand awareness and consolidate Scandic's presence in the German market, creating synergies with the Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer, which is slated to open in February.
The agreement is subject to obtaining building permits. Germany is a leading European country for trade fairs and congresses, with Frankfurt being a primary destination for such events.
